What you will see in the video
  • From the already completed delivery of the sales order, click Return and the wizard opens with the product line
  • Uncheck the option to update quantities on the order, unless you want to receive the product and issue a credit note
  • The repair location is chosen as the destination, created so that equipment under repair is clearly identified; it is advisable for the consultant to create it
  • The return delivery order is generated, the quantities are entered with the serial number that was shipped, and it is validated
  • In Inventory, Reporting, Locations you can check that the equipment and its serial number are in the repair location

How to create a repair order3:53

With the product already received, the repair is started by recording the fields that will later provide information about the repaired item.

What you will see in the video
  • In Repairs, click New and enter the description, the product to repair and the lot or serial number; with a serial number, the quantity is fixed at 1
  • Fill in the customer, the source sales order and, in the Return field, the return delivery order with which the equipment was received

  • Warranty expiration, invoicing method “No Invoice” since it is under warranty, and the Warranty tag
  • Save and confirm the repair

  • Line to add the new part by choosing a lot of your own: source WH/Stock and destination production, with no prices or taxes since it is under warranty
  • Operations tab with the repair hours spent, plus the repair notes and quotation notes tabs

What you will see in the video
  • Review of the repair order: replaced material, operations, repair notes and quotation notes
  • End Repair closes the order directly, with no invoice option since it is under warranty
  • Movements generated: removed part from production to scrap, new part from warehouse to production, and the equipment from repair to repair
  • Delivery to the customer with the Return button on the receipt, which can be found from the sales order or from the repair order
  • The checkbox is unchecked so the order and invoicing are not altered, the quantities are validated and the result is checked in the traceability report

Managing a repair order away from our premises6:06

What you will see in the video
  • Repair order created directly with New, without a prior return: product, serial number, customer, sales order and date
  • Repair location: the customers location. Valid warranty and warranty tag, so no invoice is created
  • Removed part (hard drive with its reference) from production to scrap, and new part from the warehouse to production
  • Operations: travel service created on the fly (€30) and one hour of repair, without reviewing prices since it is under warranty
  • When finished, the order is closed without an invoice: the product’s source and destination are the customer’s location and no return delivery order is needed

Managing a repair with upfront invoicing5:04

Managing a repair in which the customer is quoted and invoiced before the work begins.

What you will see in the video
  • Returning the equipment to the repair location, unchecking the box so the original order is not affected, and validating the delivery order
  • Repair order created from the delivery order: product, serial number, customer, sales order, expired warranty and invoicing before the repair
  • Materials: new graphics card with its serial number and removal of the old one, plus one hour of repair service under operations
  • Send Quotation, confirm the repair once the customer accepts, and Create Invoice, which is left as a draft in Customers > Invoices
  • With the invoice confirmed and the payment recorded, the repair is started and finished, and the delivery of the equipment to the customer is handled
