Binovo Apps AI: the AI that already works inside your Odoo 16

At Binovo we have launched Binovo Apps AI, four artificial intelligence modules that work inside Odoo: a conversational agent, vendor invoice reading, expense capture from a photo of the receipt, and a support assistant. They work on Odoo 16 or later, in both Community and Enterprise, with the AI model each company chooses and with no per-user fees. The idea: AI prepares, you decide

We wanted an AI that genuinely saves work without taking control away from people. That is why no module validates, posts or pays anything on its own: the AI leaves the work prepared in Odoo, and a person reviews and confirms it. The agent only creates or modifies records with the user’s permission, and invoices and expenses always remain in draft.

The four modules

  • Binovo AI Agent. An assistant that lives in the Odoo chat (Discuss). It queries sales, CRM, purchasing, HR and finance data, prepares and summarizes documents, and creates records only with your permission.
  • Binovo AI Invoice Capture. It reads the vendor invoice PDF and creates the draft invoice, with the PDF attached and the proposed account and products. You review and validate.
  • Binovo AI Expense Capture. It turns a photo or PDF of a receipt into a completed expense report. The employee reviews and submits it, and the manager approves it through the standard Odoo workflow.
  • Binovo AI Support Hub. A first level of support that knows the installed modules, answers from the manual and, when needed, opens a ticket with the Binovo team.

You choose the AI model and where your data goes

The agent can work with Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), ChatGPT (OpenAI) or a local model through Ollama. The access key to the model belongs to the company, not to Binovo. For those who do not want their data to leave their premises, there are two options: a local model installed on their own network, or the models we host in our data center, where data is deleted after 24 hours. Conversations stay in the customer’s own Odoo.

No per-user fees or credits

Each module is purchased separately, with a setup fee and an annual maintenance fee. There are no fees per user, per number of invoices or per employee, and there is no need to buy Odoo credits. AI usage is paid directly to the provider of the chosen model. We also help you apply for any digitalization grants that may be available.

What about Odoo 20?

Odoo 20 also brings AI agents, but its AI features consume paid Odoo credits (IAP) and use the models that Odoo integrates. As we explained when discussing Odoo 20, at Binovo we continue to implement Odoo 16 for stability, and there is no need to wait for a new version to take advantage of AI: Binovo Apps AI already works on Odoo 16.

Responsible AI by design

We have classified each module according to the European AI Act: the agent and the support assistant are limited risk, while invoice and expense reading are minimal risk. Each product is delivered with its transparency sheet, and the AI’s work is always reviewed by a person.
